Some years the commercials are the best thing about the Super Bowl. Knowing this Adland.tv took the time to compile 38 years worth of Super Bowl commercials.

Although I cannot narrow these down to a single favorite, 'Terry Tate - Office Linebacker' would definitely be in my top ten.
The antiques world was rocked (okay, more like gently bumped) when a recent episode of Antiques Roadshow estimated a woman’s collection of carved Chinese jade objects at $710,000 to $1.07 million. Either figure would make it the highest-appraised item in Antiques Roadshow history. Unfortunately, when the woman actually sold the items at auction, she only got $494,615. Why the discrepancy? It’s complicated — read about it here if you want the blow-by-blow from real antiques experts. Meanwhile, below I have collected the Top 10 Antiques Roadshow valuations (actually 11 items, as there’s a tie for second place), courtesy of YouTube user Ultranothing. The jade still comes in first as I’m counting by valuation, despite its later actual sale value being lower than predicted.

At some point during most of the awards shows they take a moment to honor people in their industry who have died in the past year. A fellow blogger posted this year's Emmy clip along with these comments. I thought I would share both.
For some reason I always look forward to the “In Memoriam” parts of award shows, especially the Oscars and the Emmys. I always like to see what clips are used of a performance of the deceased and what order they are presented, and sometimes I’m surprised that someone died and I had no idea that they were gone, or just reminded of a great that has passed. And it’s cool that I get to see people I had no idea were behind a film or show that really impacted my life. Oh, and it’s really interesting to see how the audience reacts to each person.
I thought this edit of an old Dragnet clip was pretty humorous.
I have always enjoyed watching reruns of Dragnet. Especially how Joe Friday and Bill Gannon would always have the chance to 'preach' to someone about the error of their ways. Who knew the internet would give us all a chance to insert a President into one of their speeches.
The chihuahua made famous for its role in those late-90s Taco Bell commercials has died, reports People.com.
Gidget, the female dog who played a male dog on TV, and was given the GGI ability to exclaim "Yo quiero Taco Bell!" suffered a stroke at the home of her long time trainer Sue Chipperton.
Chipperton eulogized her thus: "She made so many people happy... I like to joke that it's like looking after a plant. Gidget always knew where the camera was."
Let me start by saying I do not watch this show. We do not have cable so it is not an option for me, but I would like to think I would not watch it even it was available.
That being said, I just read a blog post over at Stuff Christians Like. It has some very interesting insight. I really like this:
Did Jon and Kate get what they deserve? I don't know. I've seen other Christians express this opinion but I don't know Jon and Kate. I know me. And I didn't get what I deserved. I got grace. I got forgiveness. I got Christ. I got rescued from the ruins of a life that seemed beyond redemption. I got a second chance and a 10th chance and a 300th chance. I didn't get what I deserved. And when we say that someone, "Got what they deserved," whether we're talking about a reality TV couple, our relatives or our neighbors, we lose sight of grace, which is the undercurrent of our ntire faith and a gift we do not deserve.
