As a response to Europe’s “Seven Wonders of the World” list, which didn’t include any Russian sights, Russia organized a national contest to select the seven most beautiful destinations the country has to offer. I've been to Peterhof. It is outstanding. Russia is rich in beauty - I think the Church on the Spilt Blood and the World War II Memorial in St Petersburg should also be listed.
