Hurricane Season

Did you know that Hurricane Season starts in less than 2 weeks? It was news to me, but since I no longer live in Hurricane Alley why should I keep up with it?

According to the Houston Chronicle's Science Blog there is already a system between Florida and Cuba. This has a very low chance of development, but it could affect the weekend weather along the Gulf Coast States.
